Cyber Bullying Bill at WorkTopix - Mon Oct 26
In Lincoln County Missouri, a student in the ninth grade has been arrested. She is a student at Troy Buchanan High School. It is not known if she wil face criminal charges, but the arrest will include the harassment charges. She was arrested on October 8 but would not comment because of age and the privacy act. It has been learned that the girl posted a site that used insulting and degrading remarks about the other girl. The site also contained a photo; comments and a poll about the other girl. It has now been removed from the web.It is possible there will be more of these types of arrests in the future. It seems to me that this type of "bullying" has gotten out of hand. The biggest percentage of this type of harassment and bullying is contained to the "teens" but there are cases involving adults using the web in this manner also.
